Studio Policy

🎹 Studio Policy Highlights

Cruz Music Studio | Director: Abraham

1. Scheduling & Attendance

  • Annual Calendar: The studio operates year-round (September–August) with 42 scheduled sessions, including private lessons, recitals, and group classes.

  • Flex Weeks: Each year includes 6 "Flex Weeks" (3 for the student, 3 for the teacher). These account for emergencies or vacations and are already factored into your tuition (no make-ups required).

  • Make-up Lessons: Missed lessons are handled via Global Make-up Lessons (GML) held in a group format. Notice must be given at least 24 hours in advance via the website.

2. Tuition & Fees

  • Payments: Due on the 26th of each month for the following month.

  • Discounts: Sign up for automatic recurring payments to save approximately 5% on annual tuition.

  • Late Fees: A $10.00 fee applies to payments received after the 26th.

  • Registration: An annual registration fee ($60 for one student / $40 for siblings) plus a $5 assignment book fee is due by August 1st.

3. Communication & Progress

  • Google Drive: Every student receives a private folder for lesson videos, notes, sheet music, and progress reports. Parents are expected to check this regularly.

  • Lesson Etiquette: Parents are welcome to observe, but are asked to save comments or corrections for the end of the lesson to allow the student and teacher to build a direct rapport.

4. Withdrawals

  • Notice Period: There is no long-term contract, but a 30-day written notice (from the 1st of the month) is required for withdrawal. Without notice, one month's tuition is due.
